District Rally 2018

The 2018 York District Rally will be held Sat. Feb 24 at Bethany and St. Paul UMC in Red Lion Click here to see a map of the location of the churches.  For those of you who have not been to Red Lion before, Bethany and St. Paul's share common parking lots which has worked well for this large event.

The event will begin at 10:00 AM with separate clergy and laity rallies

The clergy rally will be held at Bethany UMC. The keynote speaker for the clergy rally is Rev. Dr. Dennis Keller. I know he will be a blessing to all of us!

Bag lunches will be provided to all who attend....

THIS EVENT IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PASTORS AND CLM's AND OTHER LAITY LEADING CONGREGATIONS! As you know I have made few requirements of attendance compared to other districts.  We only have this event every two years, so please be there.
All pastors, please consider bringing a car full of laity. this event totaled nearly 300 people the last two times we have gathered--it is worth the day.

From 1:15 to 2:45, we will have a series of workshops led by Conference and District personnel on a variety of subjects (the workshops will be announced soon)

Dan Stokes
                                                                                                                Dan Stokes                           Bishop Jeremiah Park

At 3:00 PM will we gather together for a time of worship to our Lord Jesus Christ with Bishop Park and Dan Stokes.  This has been an awesome of music, sacrament and word.

Registration materials will be coming out in the next few weeks. While the event is free to all participants, we ask that you register ahead which gives an idea of how many lunches to order.

There is no snow date!  An event of this scope is not easy to re-arrange.  Let's pray for good weather.
